CoVid-19 has impacted our lives in ways that none of us thought possible. Majority of businesses are shut down, International borders are closed and most of us are forced to quarantine. It seems as if someone from the outside came and pressed the pause button on the entire universe. For someone like myself whose entire life and business revolves around travel, it’s hard to have your life come to a complete halt with no signs of revival for the foreseeable future.

Being that we are all home doing our parts to fight the corona virus, I have found some ways to keep my love of travel alive and well with Netflix. Since we are all home together for quite some time, here are 8 things to watch on Netflix to keep your wanderlust alive.

Tales by Light: As a travel photographer, this one grabbed my attention extremely quick. Watch some of the world’s best photographers put it all on the line by doing things like swimming with anacondas in the Amazon to get the perfect shot. For those looking to get into photography, you’ll get some great tips and pointers to get your next ‘it shot’.

Street Food: A personal favorite thing to do on my travels is to try local cuisine. I love finding street food because it gives me a first hand experience of the culture. Take a global culinary journey around the world and learn the stories behind the people who create amazingly authentic street food.

National Parks Adventure: You can never go wrong when theres beauty in your own backyard. This nature travel show focuses on the national parks here in the United States. As an American, I feel like domestic travel is overlooked by many of us. This show will leave you in awe at all of the jaw dropping landscaping right here in the United States.

Conan without Borders: As we are all in need of some comedic relief, Conan O’Brien takes us on a global journey. Check him out as he learns salsa in Cuba, floats in the Dead Sea in Israel and has wine in Italy all while keeping us entertained with his witty sense of humor.

Dark Tourist: This one is an interesting twist to “off the beaten path” travel. David Farrier travels to places most of us wouldn’t visit, like a haunted forest! See some of the least known parts of the world in this binge worthy series.

Somebody Feed Phil: Here’s another one for the food lovers like myself. Philip Rosenthal (creator of Everybody Loves Raymond) travels the world in search of great food and culture. He takes on some of my favorite cities like Lisbon, Cape Town and much more.

Expedition Happiness: Road trip anyone? A couple takes on the journey of traveling across North America in a school bus! Along the adventure, Leon looks for kindness in local people and connects with them. It really shows that no matter what the media displays, majority of people are good.
