The Four Seasons Experience: Amman, Jordan
A brand everyone recognizes that leads in luxury hospitality. Also having a reputation as a status symbol, The Four Seasons is in a league of its own. After collaborating with quite a few boutique hotels, I was lucky enough to land the partnership in which travel influencer dreams are made.
The Room: The premium rooms have more than enough space with a beautiful bathroom, a separate tub, shower and arguably the most comfortable king size bed I’ve ever slept in. There were great bathing products and I did not have to use any of the toiletries I packed with me (not even Q-tips).
The large television was a huge plus being that you can make spa appointments and order room service from it. There was something about these rooms that gave such a warm and of course, luxurious feeling. As I am always on the move when I’m traveling, I made sure I allocated enough time to do the unthinkable and actually stay in my room.
The Food: With a combination of local and non-local choices, you are definitely able to find something to your liking. There is a plethora of options at the breakfast buffet and different chef stations where you can have omelettes (and other things) cooked in front of you. I particularly appreciated all of the fresh juices to choose from. Carrot, apple and ginger was my favorite because it’s actually a recipe I use at home with my own juicer.
If the countless buffet options don’t satisfy you, feel free to request the amazing pancakes. They’re so pretty, I almost didn’t want to eat them. Luckily they tasted as great as they looked. One morning when I decided to sleep in, I took advantage of room service and had a wonderful breakfast in bed.
I also enjoyed a classic falafel (one of my favorite meals) in the Foyer lounge on the first floor.
The Spa: One of my favorite places to spend time at any hotel, this was the best hotel spa I ever visited. Containing two large swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) with a hot tub; it was tough for me to stay away from this wonderful oasis. The large space also has a locker room with showers, a sauna and refreshments. To top it off, there’s a fully equipped gym, nail salon, sitting area and indoor handball court.
I treated myself to a much needed 50 minute deep tissue massage after hiking through Petra. The cost of the massage was 80 JOD (112 USD) and very much worth it. What I also loved is that all of the massage therapists are women as this is my personal preference when receiving treatments. There is an assortment of treatments to choose from including facials and aromatherapy.
As a first time self care practice that I will now be implementing on every trip, I put a timer on my phone for 3 hours. During this time, I put my phone and camera away and simply enjoyed my time. This was the first time I did this on any trip and I must say it was the best idea ever. The pressure to create content can sometimes get in the way of enjoying the experience. The spa at The Four Seasons really showed me how important it is to stop what I’m doing and take some time to enjoy the fruits of my labor. During this break I was really able to unplug, recharge and thoroughly enjoy my stay.
Nightlife at La Capitale: When traveling solo , I don’t always get to experience the night life. Most times I tire myself out exploring all day and capturing content. By the time I have dinner I’m ready to call it a night and can’t even attempt to go back outside. Luckily for me, The Four Seasons in Amman is the night life !
La Capitale is an upscale restaurant and lounge with a live DJ and great bartenders. On Thursday nights, La Capitale is the place to see and be seen. I had a great time taking in the night scene and enjoying the company of the well-dressed people of Amman with good music playing. Sometimes getting a good drink can be a hit or a miss even at the best of locations so I would like to compliment the bartenders for making such great drinks. It was such a convenience to have this experience right in my hotel so I did not have to worry about catching a cab alone late at night. If you ever visit Amman, I highly recommend taking a trip to The Four Seasons and visiting La Capitale. Be sure to arrive by no later than 7pm if you want a seat!
Overall, saying I enjoyed my stay at the Four Seasons is an understatement. The food was superb, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful my entire stay. The entire space was nothing short of perfection. They definitely lived up to their name and ratings and will have you contemplating on whether you should stay at any other chain of hotels again.
I was welcomed as a guest of the Four Seasons Amman but all opinions, words and photography are my own.
